The River Fest International Music Festival was a 2 day international music festival featuring major International, Regional and Thai artists and staged at an outdoor site on the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi with 5,000 in attendance and featured concert performances by Honne(UK), Ruel(Australia), Anna of the North(Norway), Slot Machine(Thailand), Sam Kim(S.Korea), Dept(Thailand), Andy Tubman(USA), Eric Nam (S.Korea), Anna for Yayee(Vietnam), Zom Marie(Thailand), Gentle Bones(S.Korea) & 10CM(S.Korea)

Production & stage management for all international artists inclusive of set, staging, rigging, lighting, audio, video, backline, communications and advance co-ordination of all rider requirements.



 

UN FCCC COP 26 CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE - UK 2021

COP26 - Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) - is the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference.

United Nations climate change conferences are among the largest international meetings in the world and involve officials from every country in the world as well as representatives from civil society and the global news media. The 2021 conference was hosted at the SEC in Glasgow, Scotland and was the largest event of it’s kind ever staged in the UK.

Tender (January 2020 - February 2021) :
Technical and production consultancy during the tender phase of the project leading to client being successfully appointed as Official Supplier of Delegation Services for COP26.

Project advance (March 2021 - July 2021) :
Responsible for advance technical preparations for the delivery of all delegation offices & national pavilions for the 197 Parties (196 countries and the EU) inclusive of all builds and provision of all requisite infrastructure & services :

  • advance layout, organizational, infrastructural & site logistics planning
  • advance sourcing and selection of local, national and international suppliers & contractors
  • advance sourcing of key production staff and development of team organizational structure
  • advance production budgeting
  • advance specification of all technical and infrastructural requirements & services; scenic construction, utilities, rigging, AV, IT, plant, labour, logistics, safety equipment, signage, communications, waste management, etc
  • advance co-ordination of local authority and structural engineering processes
  • advance co-ordination of health & safety requirements and processes
  • advance site visits & contractor meets
  • partner, client & venue liaison

All of the above works were delivered in the face of the unparalleled production, supply chain and logistical challenges created by Brexit and the Covid 19 pandemic.

SOLE DXB FESTIVAL 2019

SOLE DXB is the premier contemporary street culture and lifestyle festival in the Middle East featuring events and activations ranging from film & sport to fashion & art in conjunction with partners including Cadillac, Burberry, Adidas Originals, Jordan, Puma, Levi's, Farfetch, Birkenstock, Kappa, Nescafe, homegrown UAE streetwear label Amongst Few as well as numerous breakthrough designers.

The high-profile annual event took place in Dubai Design District D3 with appearances and performances from influential artists and street culture stars such as Wu Tang Clan, Koffee, Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli, Jamaican music producers Lee 'Scratch' Perry & Don Letts, hip-hop photographer Janette Beckman, New York DJ duo Stretch + Bobbito, Clark Kent and Dan Greenpeace broadcasting live on Sole On Air. The event had an overall attendance of 45,000 over the two days of the festival.

Site production included co-ordination and oversight of the overall site build inclusive of the installation of temporary infrastructure, services and utilities - plant equipment, fencing & barriers, structures, grandstand seating, tents, site & showpower, secondary site electrics, water supplies, offices & toilets, signage, communications, cleaning & waste management; liaison with clients & production house contractors and oversight of the construction of 16 x major custom stand builds for high profile brand partners, 44 x shell stand fit-outs, 2 x F&B areas and a number of dedicated event spaces including a Lounge/Night Club, Talks Area, Sole Radio Station, Basketball Court & Art Gallery; and oversight of health & safety working practices in conjunction with the event HSE officer.



SPOTIFY ON STAGE - THAILAND 2019

The Spotify on Stage live concert series was created to bring together local, regional and international artists for Spotify fans across SE Asia which in 2019 featured live events in Jakarta & Bangkok and performances by F. Hero from Thailand, OneRepublic from the US and Stray Kids from South Korea.

Co-ordination, organisation and management of all aspects of local technical and site production; consultancy and sourcing of equipment & services; liaison with local production partners and technical & service suppliers; venue co-ordination; advance artist production; co-ordination of layouts & schedules; and the oversight of health & safety working practices.

The 22nd edition of the Rainforest World Music Festival was a 3 day international music festival celebrating ethnic, traditional and tribal music from around the world and featuring performances and workshops by Ha Noi Duo (Vietnam), Mehdi Nassouli (Morocco), Talisk (Scotland), Violins of the World (France/China/Sweden/Mongolia), Druk Folk (Bhutan), Ana Alcaide (Spain), Sedaa(Iran/Mongolia), Wai (Maori New Zealand), Mauravann (Mauritius), Olga Cerpa Y Mestisay (Canary Islands), Rajery (Madagascar), Suk Binie (Sarawak), San Salvador (France), Darmas (Sabah) & Trad Attack! (Estonia).

 

THE AL ENNA FESTIVAL 2018

Sealine Beach-Mesaieed, Qatar

The Al Enna Festival was a multi-million dollar national development project initiated in partnership between Qatar's Ministry of Municipality and Environment, the Qatar Ministry of Interior, The Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Qatar Tourism Authority, Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, Batabit (Qatar Centre for Motorcycles) and Mawater. The aim of the project was to enhance the annual Al Enna desert camping season in the Sealine Beach-Mesaieed area of Al Wahkrah municipality, through improved safety, services, amenities & entertainment options and the preservation & protection of the environment and indigenous local wildlife.

The festival site was created within undeveloped desert areas and comprised an ATV sports zone built over an area of 500,000 square metres featuring 30 rental shops and 8 ATV tracks (2 for advanced riders, 1 for intermediate level riders, 4 for beginners and 1 for ladies only)....a 4x4 Drag Racing Track built over an area of 180,000 square metres...the redevelopment of the Sealine Beach area...a Heritage Area...an Operations complex...a souk...and 200 Desert Camps spread over a distance of 12km. This - and the relocation and demolition of 28 existing ATV businesses - was successfully accomplished by a multinational project team in a total of 45 days from start date on site.

Site production included co-ordination of 20 civils and event infrastructure contractors and oversight of all aspects of the site build from site survey & mark-out of all areas, co-ordination of site layouts & schedules and the advance preparation of ground surface & access routes...through to the construction and installation of temporary & permanent infrastructure for all areas; inclusive of pedestrian walkways, cable trenching, plant equipment, fencing, barriers, structures, grandstand seating, tents, site power, secondary site electrics, F&B facilities, water supplies, offices & toilets, signage, communications, landscaping and waste management; and the implementation and oversight of health & safety working practices.

Wrap Around Floor Manager

The 44th WorldSkills event in Abu Dhabi 2017 was the first time that the event was staged in the MENA region and featured 1,300 competitors from 77 member countries and regions competing in 51 skills competitions over the four days of the event.

The event was staged at ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibtion Centre) and organised by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) - under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces - and was attended by 100,000 local and international visitors.

Part of the technical team responsible for overseeing the build and operation of 180 sponsor and exhibition stands surrounding the skills competition including venue and supplier liaison and management; liaison and co-ordination of live OB unit requirements and operations on site.

FATIMA Bint MUBARAK MOTHERHOOD & CHILDHOOD FORUM 2016

Fatima Bint Mubarak Motherhood and Childhood Forum was organised by the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, on the occasion of Universal Children's Day.

The day-long forum was attended by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Culture and Knowledge Development, Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, and Shaikha Shamma Al Mazroui, Minister of State for Youth and featured opening remarks from H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations.

The Forum gathered nearly 300 champions of childhood development with participation from international experts from the UN, UNFPA, UNICEF and representatives of leading local, regional & International children's rights organisations. The forum also announced The Fatima bint Mubarak Motherhood and Childhood Award.

The event was staged at Emirates Palace and comprised an exhibtion and gala dinner, hosted by H.H. Sheikha Fatima, at which the first award was bestowed on Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden in recognition of her contributions towards the welfare and well-being of women and children in her country and across the world.

THE ABU DHABI PLAN

The Abu Dhabi Plan was dedicated in the presence of members of the UAE Royal family, government officials and 1,400 invited guests at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.The launch event outlined the long-term vision for transforming and diversifying Abu Dhabi's oil-dominated economy and touched on nearly all aspects of civil society set out five sectors social development, economic development, infrastructure and environment, security, justice and safety, and government affairs under which 25 key objectives and 83 strategic programmes scheduled for the next five years were laid out.

The event included an exhibition explaining the plan and its goals which was open to the public and will tour around Abu Dhabi emirate during late 2016.

All advance client, production and venue co-ordination, on-site co-ordination and management of local production & infrastructure suppliers.




DUBAI WORLD CUP 2016 - WELCOME RECEPTION

The Dubai World Cup Welcome Reception is the opening event of the annual Dubai World Cup, the region's premier equestrian event and one of the UAE's biggest social and sporting events.

The reception was hosted by Meydan at Meydan Sohba - Meydan One to mark the 21st Dubai World Cup and was attended by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Meydan, the world's leading race horse owners and 950 invited guests.

The event comprised a gala dinner and a sound & light show incorporating live performance staged on a lake to tell the past and future story of Dubai culminating in a spectacular lighting and fireworks show to inaugurate the Dubai One Tower - the tallest residential building in the world and the 4th tallest building in the world when completed - scheduled to commence construction on this site.

The GTS Unleashed Roadshow was created for Porsche MEA to celebrate and promote some of the most exciting GT cars ever built featuring the Boxster GTS, Cayman GTS, Panamera GTS and
Cayenne GTS touring to the capitals of the GCC countries. The Roadshow featured a custom designed display stand with audio-visual and interactive features. All advance technical production
and venue/site co-ordination, on-site co-ordination and management of touring and local production & infrastructure suppliers.

The GTS Tour won the Award for Outstanding Brand Activation at the Middle East Event Awards 2016


 

THE SINGAPORE DIALOGUES

The festival is staged at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Damai, Kuching in the heart of the Borneo rainforest
and is considered to be one of the top 25 international music festivals.

43rd UAE NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS - DUBAI

The 2014 official United Arab Emirates National Day Celebration in Dubai marked 43 years of union between
the seven Emirates of the UAE.

This prestigious event was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and in the presence of His Highness
Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.


The theatrical spectacle celebrated UAE heritage, culture and history through a fusion of live performance by
local & international performers, state of the art show technologies, fireworks, music and large scale projection
and was broadcast live on national television.

The site was transformed into a 2,500 capacity, 160 degree custom theatrical venue complete with all production and
public facilities and infrastructure and incorporated the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel within the show finale.
This required the installation of temporary fencing, grandstand seating structures, car parking, show & site power,
site electrics, toilets, signage, communications, entrance/exit access, office & backstage facilities, majilis and
prayer room facilities and full stage technical production.

Full production planning, specification, scheduling, co-ordination and management in conjunction with local and international production team and suppliers.
Site layout and infrastructure planning, specification, scheduling, co-ordination and management in conjunction with venue management, local authorities and suppliers.




THE 13th ARAB MEDIA FORUM 2014 - FUTURE NEWSROOM

Established under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai,the Arab Media Forum is an
annual regional forum for journalists and media professionals to deliberate upon issues relevant to Arab Media. The theme of the 13th Arab Media Forum - "The Future
of Media Begins Today" - explored the next stage in the development of the international media industry and the technologies which will be required by media organisations
to keep pace with the growing demand for instant news. As the centrepiece of the event, the future news room showcased a 360 degree

interactive video environment through which the user was able to access news in real time from around the world from various live feeds such as, twitter, RSS, live radio
& television content and satellite imagery, allowing for the customized news chosen by the user to be virtually broadcast from the room to the rest of the world.

Production direction including full advance and on site production management for the event including scheduling, site and technical infrastructure inclusive of show power,
rigging, lighting, audio, video, control systems, staging and decor.



THE ABU DHABI AWARDS 2013

Established under the auspices of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE
Armed Forces,
the Abu Dhabi Awards is a biennial ceremony that honours and recognizes individuals who have contributed to building a greater sense of community and
social welfare within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and whose distinguished social and philanthropic services  have benefited the Emirate, as well as Abu Dhabi citizens
performing good deeds internationally.

The Abu Dhabi Awards campaign culminated in an exclusive VIP ceremony held at the Emirates Palace Hotel. The seven award recipients were chosen from nearly 30,000
nominations with 117 nationalities taking part and personally bestowed their honour by HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, National Security Adviser and Vice Chairman of the
Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
This prestigious occasion was attended by current and past recipients, their families & friends, VIPs and dignitaries from across the United
Arab Emirates and was broadcast live on national television.

HIGH IMPACT A2 INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL 2013

The High Impact A2 Music Festival was a 2 day international music festival featuring major
African and Asian artists and staged at the Meydan Racecourse with 5,000 in attendance
at a custom built outdoor site and featured concert performances on Day 1: P-Square (Nigeria)
, Mafikizolo (S. Africa),Mr Vegas(Jamaica),Fally Ipupa (Congo), Red San (Kenya) & Lira (S. Africa)
and on Day 2 : Eraserheads(Philippines), Perokya Ni Edgar (Philippines), MC Jin(Hong Kong)
and Erik Santos (Philippines).

Full advance production inclusive of co-ordination and management of all technical requirements
and services with venue, local suppliers and artists including staging, rigging, lighting, audio, video,
backline, communications, health & safety provisions, security and medical deployment
,event licensing and approvals,scheduling of the build/de-rig and management of the live event.





42nd UAE NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS - DUBAI

The United Arab Emirates announced its independence on the 2nd of December 1972 and celebrates its
annual national day with a grand spectacle that in 2013 marked 42 years of union between the seven
Emirates of the UAE.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince
of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council
and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh
Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler
of Dubai,
the 42nd UAE National Day Celebration event was staged at the Burj Park in the shadow on
the Burj Khalifa Tower, the World's tallest building. The celebrations were broadcast live on national
television.

The project was a collaboration between an Emirati and multi-national creative/production team and featured
a fusion of traditional cultural and contemporary performances by local& international performers. The one
hour long theatrical spectacle showcased and celebrated the UAE heritage, culture and history through a mix
of live performance, animation, projection, fireworks, water fountains and music culminating in the lighting
of the Burj Khalifa tower in the colours of the UAE flag. The event also marked the official announcement
of Dubai's winning bid for Expo 2020.



The Burj Park site was transformed into a 5,000 capacity in-the-round custom arena venue complete with all public and production facilities and infrastructure. This required the installation
of temporary fencing, grandstand seating structures, show & site power, site electrics, toilets, signage, communications, temporary entrance/exit access, office & backstage facilities,
majilis and prayer room facilities, outside broadcast unit and full stage technical production.

Full production planning, specification, scheduling, co-ordination and management in conjunction with the local and international production team and suppliers.

THE MOUSETRAP 60TH ANNIVERSARY FAR EAST TOUR - THAILAND

Dame Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap" holds numerous Guinness World Records First, including
the longest continuous run of any show in the world, and in 2013 celebrated its Diamond Jubilee,
60th year in the London West End; an astonishing twenty five thousand one hundred and fifty
performances in London alone.

As part of these Diamond Jubilee celebrations, productions were staged around the world
in over 40 countries featuring cast and artistic team from the London production. The Thailand
production was staged over four performances at the Aksara Theatre in Bangkok with the gala
premiere attended by the British Ambassador to Thailand and other VIP guests.

Production management for the Thailand production including scheduling, co-ordination of local

Chew of the approval of an exclusive license to manufacture and distribute Nissan
vehicles in Myanmar. The joint venture project, to construct an 80-acre (324,000 m2)
state-of-the-art industrial complex,will be the largest automobile manufacturing site
in the country with the capacity to produce over 10,000 units per year at full
production upon completion in 2015.

Shams 1 is located in the Western Desert Region of Abu Dhabi and was designed
and developed by Shams Power Company in a Dh2.2 billion joint venture between
Masdar (Abu Dhabi), Total (France) and Abengoa (Spain). The plant covers an
area of 2.5sqkm - equivalent to 285 football fields - incorporating the latest
in parabolic trough technology and features more than 258,000 mirrors mounted
on 768 tracking parabolic trough collectors making it the largest concentrated
solar power plant (CSP) in operation in the world.


The plant was officially inugurated by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nayhan President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and the ceremony was attended by HH Sheikh
Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai
and HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince
and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Other dignitaries present included Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Foreign Minister; Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Philippe Boisseau, President of marketing and services
and new energiesat Total
and Santiago Seage, Chief Executive of Abengoa Solar.

In order to accommodate the event a 10,000sqm event site was created within undeveloped desert areas adjacent to the solar plant and transformed into a custom venue with sufficient
size and weight capacity for a 1,000 seat auditorium and exhibition space complete with all public and production facilities and infrastructure including a Royal majilis, heliport,car and coach
parking facilities and 1km access roadway. This was successfully accomplished in a total of 30 days from start date on site.

This brief required to be substantially supplemented 48hrs prior to the event with the additional development of 5,000sqm groundworks and the installation of additional custom facilities
and infrastructure to host a full meeting of the Abu Dhabi Government on site on the show day prior to the inauguration event. Project direction including all aspects of budget preparation and
control; client & venue liaison; logistics & scheduling; site & production infrastructural specification and planning and operations management.

Production direction included oversight of the advance preparation of the ground surface & access routes; the installation of temporary fencing, temporary structures, grandstand seating
structures, show & site power, site electrics, F&B facilities, offices and toilets, signage, communications, landscaping; full technical production for the multi-media stage presentation and exhibition
area; liaison with local and international suppliers re rigging, lighting, audio, video, staging and decor; outside broadcast facilities; and production management for the multi national creative and

Production Manager for the DTFF 2012 Katara K12 A & B Theatre venues responsible for overseeing the conversion of three ballroom spaces into temporary 216 seat capacity and 252 seat capacity cinema theatres and a public box office area, involving the installation of show power; flown rigging systems; lighting, audio and projection systems, seating systems, public safety provisions, decor elements and IT.

The multi-media opening presentation was staged at a specially constructed event venue at the smelter site comprising a 1,000 seat auditorium built within the World's largest 360 degree video projection dome, an exhibition space showing the development of the Emal project and a Royal majilis with heliport.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II STATE VISIT TO THE UAE / LAUNCH OF THE SHEIKH ZAYED NATIONAL MUSEUM

The first state visit to the United Arab Emirates in 31 years by Queen Elizabeth II culminated with the unveiling of plans for Saadiyat Island's iconic Zayed National Museum at a special garden party event held in the presence of 2,000 invited and VIP guests within a custom built outdoor exhibition space and arena at Emirates Palace.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met and showed the Queen around an exhibition representing the five pillars of Shaikh Zayed's legacy: history and society; people and heritage; land and water; faith and Islam; and science and learning at the Emirates Palace. The Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of York and UK Foreign Minister William Hague, was then shown the design of the Sheikh Zayed National Museum.



The Duke of Edinburgh later joined Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Majid bin Mohamed, Prince Andrew and 80 UAE Forces veterans who had graduated from Britain's Naval, Air Force and Military (Army) Academies, to watch a flyby of UAE and UK jets.

ULTIMATE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP (UFC) 112

UFC is the largest martial arts sporting event in the world and in addition to marking the first venture in the UAE and Middle East region, UFC 112 was also the first time in the history of the sport that the event has been staged and produced in an outdoor venue. The event was broadcast live to a global audience of 2.2 million.

In order to accommodate the event a 60,000sqm site had to be created within the Ferrari World theme park construction site and transformed into a 10,000 capacity in-the-round all-seated arena venue complete with all public and production facilities and infrastructure. This required the advance preparation of the ground surface & access routes, the installation of temporary fencing, grandstand seating structures, show & site power, site electrics, F&B outlets, toilets, signage, communications, entrance set-up, backstage facilities and full stage technical production. This was successfully accomplished in a total of 18 days from start date on site.

In addition to this were the arrangement and co-ordination of event services including F&B management, waste management, event security & stewarding, VIP car park management, medical & fire cover, etc.; the implementation of health & safety practice, co-ordination of sponsor requirements and liaison re royal protocol and security requirements.

The concerts were held at Ferrari World on Yas Island adjacent to the race track and featured concerts with Beyonce, Jamiroquai, Kings of Leon and Aerosmith on consecutive nights over the race weekend to a combined crowd of more than 140,000 people in a spectacular climax to the international Formula One 2009 season.



In order to accommodate the concerts a 60,000sqm site had to be created within the Ferrari World theme park construction site and transformed into a 50,000 capacity arena venue complete with all public and production facilities and infrastructure. This involved close co-operation with Ferrari World/Aldar engineering project managers and required the preparation of the ground surface & public and production access routes, the installation of temporary fencing, structures, show & site power, site electrics, F&B outlets, toilets, signage, communications, entrance set-up, backstage facilities and full stage technical production. This was successfully accomplished in a total of 21 days from start date.

In addition to this were the arrangement and co-ordination of event services including F&B management, waste management, event security & stewarding, VIP car park management, medical & fire cover, etc.; the implementation of health & safety practice, co-ordination of sponsor requirements and liaison re royal protocol and security requirements.

THE ROYAL HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY " Musical Ride " ADIHEX Abu Dhabi 2009

The first-ever Middle Eastern performance of Queen Elizabeth II's Royal Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment's 'The Musical Ride' team was the highlight of the 2009 Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec). The Musical Ride consists of 28 horses and 36 soldiers who perform traditional equine routines accompanied by music. The performances took place at the personal invitation of Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and was organised by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) and The Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The production was staged in a custom built indoor auditorium within Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre including full show technical production, temporary Royal, VIP and public seating stands, stables, warm-up and preparation areas and a performance arena comprising 650 metric tons of surface material shipped specially from the USA.

Responsibilities included venue layout and infrastructure planning, co-ordination and management including construction, power, communications, outside broadcast, backstage and arena facilities, waste management, health & safety provisions & practices, Royal & VIP protocol liaison, sponsor requirements, venue liaison, security & stewarding operations and full technical management.

COLDPLAY - Viva La Vida Tour - Live in Abu Dhabi 2009

Landmark concerts by Andrea Bocelli and Coldplay staged on consecutive nights as part of the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Festival, the performance marked Coldplay's first appearance in the region and was also the region's first carbon-offset concert staged as part of the WWF's Earth Hour campaign.

The production was staged in the grounds of the prestigious Emirates Palace Hotel in a custom built arena venue for a total capacity of 17,000. Two different arena and staging setups were required for the performances, with the Coldplay event designed as a standing concert with thrust stage, while the Bocelli concert was a proscenium style presentation with an all-seated arena.

Journey to Mecca is an IMAX® dramatic and documentary feature that tells the story of Ibn Battuta, the greatest explorer of the Old World, following his first pilgrimage from Tangier to Mecca and presenting an unforgettable picture of Islamic civilization during the 14th century culminating with Ibn Battuta's first Hajj. The film is book-ended by a close-up look at the contemporary Hajj, a pilgrimage to Mecca that draws three million Muslims from around the world every year who perform rituals that have taken place for over 1,400 years.

The World premiere was produced in conjunction with IMAX® USA and staged at The Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, in a 1,300 capacity custom built open air IMAX cinema venue complete with all production & public facilities and infrastructure. The event was staged in the presence of HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and an invited VIP audience.

The first ever performance in the Middle East by Kylie Minogue, the event was staged at Dubai Festival City at a custom built outdoor venue with a capacity audience of 14,000 in attendance. Prior to arriving in the UAE, the KylieX2008 Tour traveled to 21 countries playing to over half a million fans at 53 sold out shows. A reported 10million was spent in creating the tour production, with no less than eight full cast costume changes and costumes created by extravagant French designer Jean Paul Gaultier.

PATA CEO CHALLENGE 2008 : CONFRONTING CLIMATE CHANGE

The inaugural PATA CEO Challenge was staged at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre in April 2008 for CEO and senior level executives from leading travel and tourism industry companies to share initiatives and inspire the industry to take action to counter the impacts of climate change.

The keynote speakers were :

Dr RK Pachauri (Chairman - UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and co-winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize in conjunction with US Vice President Al Gore for alerting the world to the dangers of global warming) and Mr Geoffrey Lipman (Assistant Secretary-General United Nations World Tourism).

Featured speakers and panelists included :

The Dubai Desert Rock Festival was established in 2004 and is the largest annual music festival in the Gulf drawing fans from throughout the region including Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait & Syria and featuring extreme sports activities as well as concert performances by major international and local rock artists. The 5th Anniversary event was staged over two days with 28,000 in attendance at a custom built outdoor site and featured Muse, Velvet Revolver, Korn, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Nervecell, Slapshock, Spoonfeedas, Julianna Down and Shamal winners, The Galeej Gurus. The event also featured the World premier of the Suspended Cocktail Bar, the Infusion Dance Tent, Calvin Klein Fragrances VIP Lounge, The Bonehead Fire Sculpture and the Lee Cooper cable slide among other attractions.
